Dang.
I am honestly surprised that it took his long into his 2 wheeled adventures to get hurt this bad. He has a very bad habit (as I think most kids do) of turning right in front of another bicyclist. He has done it to both Trophy Hub and me, but we've always been fortunate enough to stop.
Unfortunately, tonight, it just happened too quickly. Peanut and Trophy Hub both went down. Thankfully, I was far enough behind that I was able to stop because Bubba sits on the back of my bike. It could have been a lot worse. Trophy Hub didn't get injured, but Peanut's elbow is completed scraped and is starting to bruise.
We weren't far from home, so we knew all the neighbors who came running with paper towels, cold cloths and ice. It was amazing how quickly they were there.
As you know, Peanut is ridiculous a very dramatic child. You never have to wonder where is he emotionally. He was pretty ridiculous upset for the next few hours that we spent at our friends house, but he still played and even rode his bike home.
Is it just my family or do your kids get hurt all the time? Both of their legs are covered in scrapes and bruises.
Maybe it's just a boy thing???
Poor Peanut! Ouch!!! And no...it's not just you. And yes...it is ALL boys...no matter what age. :)
