Jealous! I WANTED to get a SLR but just didn't want to spend the money and have the boys break it. Maybe in a few years when they understand that NO means NO! Good luck with the manual.
ReplyDeleteHA! I think we did too :) I LOVE my camera, but honestly I think I left it in the bag for the first couple weeks because I was afraid of it. And overwhelmed. But once you get the hang of it, it's really pretty easy to use. I started out just keeping it on the auto settings until I got used to it. OH, one thing I did once I wanted to get more complicated, was go on youtube and type in something like "canon rebel how to" or whatever and got alot of tips from that. I learn so much better from "seeing" it rather than just reading a manual. Have fun! I plan on taking alot of pics of the snow today.

ReplyDeleteI only let it sit in the box for the 2 hours that it took to charge the battery, but I am a little afraid of it too! You Tube is a great idea - thanks!! I have learned lots from YouTube - from mudding drywall to decorating cakes! That pic Vince posted of the snowflake was amazing!
